Antagonisms in the utilization of d-amino acids by lactic acid bacteria. IV. d-Aspartic acid.

چکیده

Investigations with glutamic acid, methionine, and alanine have shown that n-amino acid utilization by lactic acid bacteria may be inhibited by specific antimetabolites (l-4). This has been taken to indicate that a conversion of o-amino acid substrate to the L form precedes its utilization, and that this process may be blocked by an appropriate inhibitor. Both Land n-alanines have been shown to be essential metabolites for Lactobacillus mannitopoeus by inhibiting the metabolic interconversion of these enantiomorphs (2). Analogous studies have now been made with aspartic acid.

Antagonisms in the utilization of D-amino acids by lactic acid bacteria; I. Influence of DL-ethionine on the utilization of D-methionine.

It has been shown by Brickson et al. (2) and by Lyman and Kuiken (3) that leucine and valine in moderate concentrations may interfere with the utilization of n-isoleucine by Lactobacillus arabinosus. That aspartic acid may produce an analogous and much more marked effect on the utilization of n-glutamic acid by L. arabinosus has been reported by Camien and Dunn (4). Since further evidence obtai...

Synthesis and Functionalization of Gold Nanoparticles by Using of Poly Functional Amino Acids

Synthesis and characterization of two functionalized gold nanoparticles by using of two poly functional amino acids (L-Arginine and L-Aspartic acid) are reported. The gold nanoparticles were reduced by sodium citrate and functionalized with L-Arginine at the pH of 7 and 11 and L-Aspartic acid at the pH of 7. Transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, zeta p...

Short communication:Influence of vacuum packaging and frozen storage time on fatty acids, amino acids and ω -3/ ω-6 ratio of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

In this study rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fillets were vacuum packed, frozen and stored at -18°C and  the effect of this packaging method on proximate composition, fatty acids and amino acid profile and their changes compared to control conditions during 9 months of storage were studied. The results showed that 18 fatty acids were identified. The unsaturated fatty acid (UFA) were 56.77 ...

Utilization of some D-amino acids by lactobacilli.

As one phase of an investigation of the nutritive requirements of lactobacilli, particularly those from the mouth, the utilization of several D-amino acids was studied. The D-forms used were those of amino acids which, as L-forms, are known to be essential for growth. Earlier studies have shown that the L-forms of valine, leucine, isoleucine, arginine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid (under certai...

The aim of the present research is to investigate the profile of amino acid of Chlorella vulgaris supplemented with some plant amino acid and oil extracts. The bioactive oil and amino acid from four Iranian medicinal plants, namely Oliveria decumbens, Thymus kotschyanus, Trachyspermum ammi, and Zataria multiflora were obtained. The LC-MS / MS analysis demonstrated that the major amino acids com...
